POW! WOW! HAWAII! 2017 Mural Recap (Part 2).
POW! WOW! HAWAII! 2017 took place between February 11th and the 18th, 2017 and saw artists and musicians gathering in the Kaka’ako neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii to create stunning new murals, installations and more to bring together the community through art.

The mural festival was fleshed out with a block party alongside the Honolulu Night Market, an exhibition curated by Thinkspace Gallery at the Honolulu Museum of Art, a print show with Detroit-based 1xRun, artist talks, the “Saving Banksy” documentary premiere, “Art to the Pitch” soccer tournaments, break dancing battles with UDEF and a DIM MAK Anniversary Concert with Steve Aoki presented by Electric Palms and POW! WOW!
Sponsors of the festival were Hawaii Tourism Authority, Montana Cans, Hawaii Airlines, The Modern Honolulu, Monster Energy Drinks, Olukai, EPTM, ’47, 1xRun, Thinkspace Gallery, Our Kaka’ako and City Mill.
